Canine Musical Freestyle
Dancing with your dog! Sure it's a little bit silly but it's a lot of fun. Canine freestyle
is a great way to bond with your dog. Even if you're not interested in competing, it's
fun for dogs and humans alike. You can even do demonstrations for kids, at pet
fairs, or during therapy visits.
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age and have some basic obedience (sit,
down, heel/loose-leash walking) to attend this class.
AKC Rally
Somewhat of a cross between agility and competition obedience, rally is quickly
becoming a popular sport. Learn how to read the signs, walk a course, and train
the behaviors necessary to enjoy rally with your dog. This class focuses on the
Novice level but some of the higher level signs may be added.
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age and have some basic obedience (sit,
down, heel/loose-leash walking) to attend this class.
Competition Prep
Are you hoping to compete with your dog? Whether your goals lie in Competition
Obedience, Rally, Agility, Canine Freestyle, etc. this is the place to start.
This class focuses on teaching basic handling skills, focus, crate games, and mat
work. It will incorporate exercises one might find in an agility flatwork class (buja
boards, pedestal work, handling skills), some Control Unleashed material (like mat
work and "Look at that!"), and various ways to create a dog who's super focused.
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age and have some basic obedience (sit,
down, heel/loose-leash walking) to attend this class.
Tricks
Have you ever wanted to train your dog to shake paws, roll over, play dead, bow or
other cute behaviors? Then this is the class for you. We'll focus on teaching
various crowd-pleasing behaviors that you can use to entertain family and friends.
Many of the tricks taught in this class can be utilized in demonstrations or in sports
like musical freestyle.
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age and have some basic obedience (sit,
down, heel/loose-leash walking) to attend this class.
***No reactive or aggressive dogs will be permitted in these classes***
While I own and work with a reactive dog, I do not have the necessary set up, time,
and experience to incorporate reactive/aggressive dogs in my classes. Should you
wish to rehabilitate your dog, I can recommend the following trainers: (list here).
